Even FOX News is no longer so safe for neocons.
On my other email list I sent out a video last week showing Tucker Carlson of FOX News going after hyper-interventionist Max Boot.
Max and I go way back.
At the Weekly Standard's website he wrote a review of my
Politically Incorrect Guide to American History that was designed not simply to discredit my book, but to create the impression that I was a sinister and toxic person who should be shunned.
My friends at The American Conservative magazine gave me space to respond to Boot, which I did, and I surely got the better of him.
But this was the left's response to my book: no actual replies to my claims, but plenty of insinuations and a lot of character assassination.
How did I recover from this?
Video.
I posted lots of videos, particularly of my speaking engagements. People found these either through me, or via links from my friends, or organically, as videos recommended to them by YouTube.
No other ingredient -- not even my books, which have sold well -- did more to repair the damage done by the creeps. Video is
engaging and grabs people's attention. I've written lots of articles, but not one has had more reach than my videos.
Learning how to use video to build your audience, or make sales, is one of the most valuable skills you can acquire.
Todd Gross, my former weatherman who now creates really neat video products, is releasing Video
Builder, which creates impressive videos featuring 3D, lifelike human avatars, and uses lip-sync technology to make them speak seamlessly along with any audio or text-to-speech you have.
As we've seen over the past couple of years, these videos flat-out work.
They're giving away free copies to
10 people who sign up for their sneak peek. Plus, one hundred smackers to each of three other lucky people.
I want all Woods people to win them.
Well, at least a couple!
Help me make that
happen?
Tom Woods
