I commit the biggest no-no in the book; experts have heart attack

Published: Sun, 08/06/17

The experts -- such as they are -- in Internet marketing are agreed on one thing: when you impose a deadline, stick to it.

Never be a softie.

Show your list who's boss.

No mercy.

My response: what the hell is wrong with you people?

I get that sticking to deadlines is in general a good practice. But if once or twice a year I bend the rules a bit, I think I'll just come across as a human being. I won't "lose all credibility," as the tut-tutters insist.

Until tomorrow at midnight I'm reopening my offer to review and critique your website with you.

I've talked to lots of people who think their sites are awesome, but they really aren't.

For instance:

(1) The purpose of the site is unclear. Yes, this happens a lot: people don't put themselves in the shoes of their visitors enough to realize: nobody is going to understand what this is even all about.

(2) Visitors have to search around for what they're supposed to do. This happens a lot, too. The more work you make your visitor do, the more likely that visitor will just leave.

(3) No email list signup. You'll never see most of your website visitors ever again. Try to get a way for you to contact them.

This is the tip of the iceberg.

If you have an ineffective website, you're the last to know. You're not looking at your site from the point of view of an impartial visitor.

The difference between a website that really works and one that doesn't is the difference between success and failure -- which in turn can mean the difference between lots of smackers and few to no smackers.

I'll hop on a Skype call with you and we'll share screens, and I'll walk through with you any ways I think your site can be improved.

You have 365 days to take advantage of my offer, so if you don't have a site yet, you can get back to me when you do.

How do you get this?

Grab a copy of Flexy, the neat new site builder that responds to your voice.

Then just forward me your receipt, and when you're ready I'll help make sure your site isn't a floperoo.

But this bonus really, truly comes to an end tomorrow at midnight. Plus, Flexy's special launch deal goes away in a few days and they'll start instead charging a monthly fee for it, and I don't want you doing that.
