Well, they tried to shut down another independent voice, but this one refused to be
silenced.
On Monday's episode of the Tom Woods Show I'll be speaking to a very prominent architect in England who stunned his largely left-leaning field by denouncing housing subsidies and regulations, decrying what he calls the "p.c. takeover" of architecture, calling for the removal of public funding from art schools, and urging that parks, roads, and other public places be
privatized.
Whoa.
For a while after that, this architect -- who, it turns out, became a believer in the Austrian School of economics after reading my book Meltdown -- kept a low profile on the advice of friends.
But then he finally decided: to heck with it. Enough is enough.
He's lucky enough to be the head of a large firm, so no one can fire him.
Not everyone has that luxury.
