Well, it was bound to happen eventually.
I have "jury duty"
today.
You may say, "Woods, all you have to do is tell them you're for jury nullification, and you're out of there!"
But even if I wanted to take that approach, I haven't had a chance: I've been stuck in a jury room for three hours so far, and my number hasn't been called.
It never occurred to me to bring a laptop, so I've had to catch up on email on my
phone, and otherwise sit here stewing.
They have some desktop computers here, and now that one's opened up, I'm desperate to do something productive.
Now note what's impressive about this: I'm stuck in a jury room and not allowed to leave, but I'm still able to work and earn some dough -- all by sending an email.
That's the value of an email list.
