One thing you can say about my email subject lines: they
deliver.

I was reading an article this morning about technological evolution that will either excite you or creep you out.
Ray Kurzweil, director of engineering at Google and well-known futurist, was recently quoted as saying, “We’re going to become increasingly non-biological, to
the point where the biological part isn’t that important anymore. Even if the biological part went away, it wouldn’t make any difference.”
Um, OK....
“We can create bodies with nanotechnology," he went on, "we can create virtual bodies in virtual reality. I think we’ll have a choice of bodies; we’ll certainly be routinely changing our parent body in virtual
reality.”
Well, whatever all that is supposed to mean, even in the here and now there have been developments that will surprise you.
There's a site called SafeBeyond that, among other things, allows you to schedule messages to your loved ones long after you're gone.
I guess the market gives people what they want.
Time will tell if this is something they want.
Before you go and assume that a non-biological version of you will live eternally, better to stay focused on more mundane things in the here and now.
