Everyone's afraid of robots taking all the jobs away.
The economics behind that is a subject for another day.
For now, think of it this way: there are plenty of ways you can make robots (or automation, or computers) enhance rather than threaten what you do.
Here's yet another
advantage of eCommerce.
You find a product at one of the places any eCommerce course will tell you about. You feature it on your online store (easy, believe me), and advertise it on Facebook.
Facebook knows (via the "pixel") when someone buys from you.
Now here's the magic. Once you get a bunch of buyers, you can say to Facebook: see all the people who bought from me? Find a whole bunch more people who fit their demographic profile and show my product to them, too. (These are called Lookalike Audiences.)
Marketers a generation ago would have slit their grandmothers'
throats to get a tool like that.
Instead of marveling at that -- and we should indeed marvel at it! -- why not put it to work for you?
I've brought Fred Lam back for another workshop on eCommerce, emphasizing different material.
My listeners have thanked me for getting them into eCommerce -- on episode 1018 of the Tom Woods Show I spoke to some of them and we discovered that they're regular people who followed the training they got, and it changed their lives.
