For a short while in 2001, I had a chess coach.
Yes, really.
I used to play competitively, and this coach would review my games with me.
I made more progress in those sessions with him than I did in all the books and puzzles I was working on. He zeroed in on my precise weaknesses and we worked
on them relentlessly.
That's been true in a lot of areas in my life: if I could just pick someone's brain for a little while, I could accelerate my path to my destination.
