You didn't know this, but I was actually in a
television commercial when I was 12. Thankfully, there was no YouTube then, and it has mercifully vanished forever.
The purpose of the ad was to encourage people to advertise on cable television. I played a nerdy lemonade stand owner with no customers. Then I created an ad for cable TV, and I was mobbed with customers.
I think I earned $50 from that, which was the
most I had earned from anything at that point.
My television career pretty much petered out after that, as did my abnormal earnings.
My kids, on the other hand, maybe in a better situation even though they're not on TV.
They're getting to the age where they are already thinking about saving up for cars. And if you
saw their video today, you know I've been gently badgering them about a relatively easy way for them to start earning that money in the spare time they will surely have this summer.
Amy, who's about to turn 12, spent some time with me looking at used cars from 2016, and they are much more affordable than she thought. I then showed her what one of my listeners earned in profit -- $700 -- the other month selling simple mugs on
Amazon, and I noted that if she could reproduce even a fraction of that, she'd have all the money she needed in no time at all.
I think they're starting to crack.
(A woman who listens to my show and follows this system, after watching the
girls' video, wrote to say, playfully: "Well, tell your daughters that I just sold 4 hoodies, 1 Christian Love necklace, and only ONE mug today! So it’s NOT all about mugs….by a long shot.")
If it sounds intriguing, make sure and watch the neat video about how to do it right away, because it's coming down in four
hours:
