That’s the way an old friend -- and the godfather of two of my children -- began his
email yesterday.
He reads a lot, and he doubts a lot. And he screws up on the computer a lot. For example, he thought the Steve Clayton webinar with me was Monday. He carefully signed up for it and got a blank screen.
But he was very interested in watching once he read Steve’s PDF outlining how to make serious money with a Web business. Then he watched the webinar. “I was blown away by the possibilities,” he told me.
“I also love the honesty and completeness of the
presentation.” He listed four things:
1. “Steve and his guys stayed on the air and didn’t rush off, handling every category of readers’ questions bluntly and even going beyond the question to give readers a feel for the problem and rat holes it could take them down if they did not do X and Y or Z.”
2. “I realized that if I get their new platform it can even help my existing business -- which is not even eCommerce -- by enabling me to spy on my competition, not literally
but by being able to guess pretty accurately what’s selling for them. I could also goose sales myself.”
3. “Just their Success Predictor software and ‘Money Making Product’ scouting software (I call it) would also help me.”
"Tom, I’m going to give eCommerce a shot and would like to talk to you about my ideas next time I see you.”
My friend will be re-watching the webinar that has so many people talking.
