I released a Saturday episode of the Tom
Woods Show this week because we had a one-day delay at the beginning of the week, so I thought I'd let you know it's up.
My guest: Eric July, whose band Backwordz hit #1 on Billboard's alternative new artist chart.
Eric is a hardcore Rothbardian, and he credits Walter Williams with being his main
intellectual influence.
He says he refuses to live his life as if there's a white man behind every door, seeking to thwart his every move.
I asked him: what does he make of being called not authentically black, or a traitor to the black community, for being libertarian?
His answer was stunning.
He said that when he was younger, he was a gangbanger, a major troublemaker. And nobody ever called him a traitor to the black community, or not authentically black, when he was doing that.
That's
pretty much all you need to know about people who would attack him like this.
It's a great conversation.
Meanwhile: the replay of my session with Sara Young, the mom of 7 who's coached so many of my listeners, including my own mother, helping them create a profitable online presence, comes down
tonight.
She appeals to people who, like Eric, make a conscious decision to be independent, and to live on their own terms.
Does that sound like you -- or at least the person you want to be?
Then
this is your next step (remember, it comes down at midnight):
