OK, so maybe I've been
wrong.
I've been saying: pick something narrow, where you can be the cock of the walk.
Not that that doesn't work. It does.
But my own followers have been succeeding in huge markets -- the opposite of
the niche strategy.
Like the music teacher I told you about yesterday who listens to my show, and who's massively successful online (he attributes this to taking my advice). Music isn't exactly an obscure niche.
Or wellness.
One of my fans -- that word makes me feel weird -- runs a fantastic wellness blog (she's known as "Wellness Mama"). That's not narrow. And she supports her whole family on what the site earns. (She also supports another half dozen families, since she now has a bunch of employees.)
She loves what she does, she can work from anywhere, and she answers to no one but her
followers.
She does not belong to some superior race. She is not different from you in any fundamental way.
But she's an action taker.
You know how many people buy eBooks they never read, software
they never learn, and courses they never take? They are strewn about the information superhighway like so much roadkill.
If you're being honest, does that description hit close to home?
Best way to break free of it: go cold turkey. Pick one thing and make a commitment to yourself to see it through.
The strategy Sara (Tom Woods Show guest, episode #1215) and Andrew use is tried and tested, and based on ideas that won't be obsolete tomorrow. And my listeners can tell you: these two are probably the best teachers and guides out there.
And instead of going narrow, you go big.
I want an army of successful people to come from this.
