Even before the joint statement was issued, Trump's

For one thing, it's a nice break from the usual so-called diplomacy we see from most U.S. presidents. You know the pattern:
(1) Be bellicose.
(2) Make demands no head of state could possibly accept.
(3) Feign outrage when these demands
are not met.
(4) War.
On Twitter Trump referred to critics of his North Korea policy as "haters & losers."
Just two nights ago, Robert De Niro summoned all his courage to criticize Trump before a Tony Awards audience who were all ideological clones of each other. He used an expletive.
Two days later, it's already: Robert who?
You should be learning business lessons wherever they're being taught, and Trump is teaching them every day.
For now, the key is this: he operates by his own rules.
Everyone is appalled, but all they can do is sputter.
