I'm not thinking of Gordon Ramsay, the celebrity chef, who is moving his restaurant headquarters from California
to Texas.
I'm thinking of Dave Rubin, the popular podcaster, who just announced that he's moving his show from California to Florida.
"I am officially leaving the dystopian nightmare of California for the free state of Florida," Rubin said on Twitter. "My successful business and all my employees are coming with."
Lesson: you can let inertia keep you in a rut that will destroy you, or you can jolt yourself into action.
A friend of a friend recently hit financial rock bottom. He turned to Marlon Sanders, his friend and mine, who was one of the first real experts in Internet selling (he's been doing it since 1996), for a plan. Could he make a go at what Marlon does for a living, which requires only a computer?
So Marlon laid out for him a four-step plan.
Follow these four steps *consistently* and you will build something you can be proud of, and which liberates you from The Man.
Marlon figured other people might have an interest in the four steps, so he made a product out of it.
Part of that product includes a live session he's doing this Friday, in which he'll walk you through the steps on his computer screen, and show you real-life examples of the steps in action. Then you can ask him anything you want.
He won't be selling you anything in that session. It's just you and one of the world's best, live, teaching you what he knows.
I warn you: Marlon has a slightly oddball personality, and as you'll see he kind of yells when he talks. But it's a joyful yell. It's an I-want-you-to-know-what-I-know yell.
I love the guy.
Follow the four steps, and say goodbye to The Man:
