This one really takes the cake.
Writing in Fortune early this month, Will Daniel -- in an article called "What causes a recession? Maybe it's you and how grumpy you are about the economy" -- suggests that if you get too pessimistic, this can cause a recession.
So according to this particular business cycle theory, the key to permanent prosperity would be forcing everyone to take happy pills at all times.
I don't even mean that as a joke. If Daniel's reasoning is correct, why (apart from the inadmissibility of using force) would this not be the solution?
The thing is, recessions are caused by real, underlying factors, not people's transient states of mind. The macroeconomy has no problem adjusting to people's states of mind. If for the time being people pull back on their spending and save more instead, this lowers interest rates, which creates incentives for entrepreneurs to engage in longer-term projects instead, for when consumers are ready to spend again. No problem.
But the microeconomy -- i.e., you and your business -- might find that adjustment challenging.
Even if the economy at large is doing fine, you personally might not be happy if consumers are suddenly spending less.
But they will be spending something, so why not maximize the chances that they'll do some of that spending with you rather than your competitors?
And given that by this point we know all about the effectiveness of quiz funnels, why not learn how to add one to your business -- especially right now?
And if your business is only in the it-will-exist-at-some-point-in-the-future stage, you should be learning about best practices now, so you can avoid heartache, and pocketbookache, in the future.
Everyone reading this now is either a current or a potential business owner. Those of you who attended Ryan Levesque's workshop last week know how outstanding his material is and how important this strategy is, particularly in a rough economy.
Ryan's book Ask was named the #1 marketing book the year it came out by Inc. magazine, and Entrepreneur listed it as the #2 book for budding entrepreneurs. Ryan is the real thing, and I've been able to get him for us live.
So I'm hoping to see all of you -- I mean every last one -- at the special live event Ryan is doing with me online tomorrow night.
There will be no replay, and no encore. Just hardcore teaching, and learning how to get your own quiz funnel set up.
My goal for 2022 has been to help make my inner circle of libertarians better off, and not just intellectually. I want our group to fight back successfully against everything the regime is throwing at us.
