Flying back from St. Lucia, I could not let an atrocity from the departure
trip be repeated.
My seat was toward the back of the plane. On long trips like this I get hungry.
I asked if I could reserve a turkey sandwich.
No, they said. We have to sell the food in order, starting from row 1. But don't worry: we don't sell many.
Ahem.
Not a sandwich to be found by row 36.
So here we are again, my dear readers. I am in row 36. There are sandwiches. I need one. Will I get it?
Well:
I tweeted playfully at Delta.
I wrote a funny note to the flight attendant.
And....
...in short order your host here found himself sitting happily with, yes, a turkey sandwich.
Now yes, maybe I acted like a Boomer.
But I got that $%#&@ sandwich, and that's what counts.
Moral of the story:
Life rewards action-takers.
And for those of you whose hearts want to take action, but whose schedules seem to make it impossible, I have something for you.
Over the past three days, for those of you who have been able to attend, our friend Stu McLaren has taught -- for free -- for over ten solid hours.
It's been an astonishing crash course in how to build a membership business -- the kind of business that powers the Woods household, and whose recurring revenue gives us the financial stability and the mental calmness we need.
Not everyone has 10+ hours to spare.
So tonight, Stu is doing a one-night recap of the whole thing.
You have two choices.
You can be the hungry passenger who sits there with a growling stomach as other people eat tasty sandwiches.
Or you can be ol' Woods the action-taker, who wound up with a full belly.
You know which way to go.
