Saturday night my area lost power for about five hours after a lightning strike on a local power facility.
It was a night of discovery.
On this low-tech night (before it got too dark), I discovered that in foosball, Amy Woods on her own can
consistently defeat Elizabeth Woods and Dad working together as a team.
As it got darker, we further discovered that nobody in this family knows a decent ghost story.
We then discovered that we had a few board games we hadn't tried out yet, and one of them -- Banned Words -- kept us
fully entertained until the lights came back on.
The idea is this: you're trying to get your team to guess words, but the other team, having seen the list of words you're trying to get your teammates to guess, secretly comes up with a bunch of words they think you or they might use in the process of guessing, and they get a point every time you say one.
It was a great time -- even 8-year-old Sarah guessed some of the words correctly.
In real life, of course, we know the words we aren't allowed to say, and the thoughts we're not allowed to have. This madness has spread into more companies and HR departments than you can count.
Those of you who have unplugged from the machine never have to deal with that crap again.
Last week I mentioned a new release by my friend Kevin Fahey, who has been the source of so much good advice to me over the years. He has operated a successful and ethical online business, with no boss and no constraints on where
he lives or travels, for 15 years. In this inexpensive program he shows you exactly how it works.
Although most of it is easy for a beginner to follow, I found a few parts here and there that I think require further explanation, so I recorded my own supplementary videos for you in which I elaborate on some of Kevin's points.
Remember, Kevin doesn't deal in "make $542.55 every ten minutes with no work." He has a real business, and his material is always very specific and actionable. None of this "start your day with a green smoothie" or "go to bed at 9:00" stuff.
If you'd like those Woods videos, forward your receipt to bonuses@tomwoods.com and we'll get them out to you.
Launch pricing on Kevin's product ends tomorrow, so now's the time:
