It's not always "Everybody Gets a Trophy" Day.
In affiliate marketing, not every company lets just anyone promote its products.
I do. I let anyone apply to become an
affiliate of Liberty Classroom. That means you get a special link, and if anyone clicks that link and joins my site, I split the dough with you 50/50.
Amazon is the same way. Anyone can apply for its affiliate program. It doesn't split the dough 50/50, but it does pay you a commission for any sales made through your link.
Some companies are very exclusive about who is allowed to promote them in exchange for a commission.
Almost every major store you shop at, and almost every brand you can think of, has some kind of referral program. But they are not open to the public.
A big company called Rakuten, however, is a member of all of these programs.
So they came up with a great idea.
If
you shop at pretty much any of the places where you usually shop online, but enter through their link, they get a commission -- and to encourage you to use their link, they will share that commission with you.
In plain English, here's what that means.
Do all the shopping you'd ordinarily do, except every month you get a check from Rakuten.
Last month mine was for just about $300, and so far this month I'm approaching $400.
Not exactly money to retire on, but I
got it by doing absolutely nothing.
There's dough on the table, my friend. All you have to do is take it:
