It's not that I'm never at conferences, or that I never do speaking engagements.

But in the old days I was at everything. If there was a libertarian event, I was there. If there was a Campaign for Liberty rally, I was the opener for the great Ron.

Next month I'll be speaking at the Mises Institute's supporters summit, because that organization means a great deal to me.

But in years past the events page of my website was filled with one event after another.

Here's why I don't do much of that anymore:

My heart just isn't in it.

Spreading the word is still very important, but I'm already doing that via my podcast and newsletter.

I just don't find it that exciting to go out there and talk about the same problems I've talked about for years and years.

I am much more interested these days in practical solutions to the problems my listeners face. And one of them has to do with employment.
