While making breakfast the other day I was listening to Eben Pagan's Wake Up Productive program.
He spoke about an "inner butterfly effect," whereby one distracting thought can make a whole day unproductive.
He then urged viewers not to be distracted by these butterflies.
My 8-year-old heard that part and asked: "Dad, do you get distracted by butterflies?"
Me: Sometimes, yes.
Daughter: Huh. Wow.
Me: Wait, just to be sure: he's not talking about actual butterflies.
Daughter: [pause] Dang it.
I love that story.
Anyway, to the point:
I've gotten good at ignoring those butterflies and focusing on what I need to get done.
And because I'm good at it, I can get the same amount of work done now in half the time it once took me. That means I can enjoy more leisure time, which as I get older is more and more my aim.
I recommend a very inexpensive program called Timeboxing, that teaches you techniques for getting more done in less time.
What's great about it: not only you can learn from it yourself, but you also get the rights to resell it as your own, and keep all the profits. In minutes it can be adapted to any audience, because what audience doesn't need to learn to manage time better?
That just saved you a lot of pain.
But now's the time, because the launch ends at midnight and the price jumps by roughly 350% after that, so click here:
