The great Morrissey, formerly of The Smiths, has a song called, "We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful."
He didn't play this song when we saw him in Las Vegas not long ago, but for some reason I was thinking about it today.
An excerpt:
We hate it when our friends become successful
And if they're Northern, that makes it even worse
And if we can destroy
them
You bet your life we will
Destroy them
If we can hurt them
Well, we may as well
It's really laughable
Ha, ha,
ha
You see, it should've been me
It could've been me
Everybody knows
Everybody says so
This is the anthem of the envious person.
There's no need for you to sing it.
If anything, let others be envious of you.
It doesn't always have to be other people who experience
life-changing events. Why shouldn't it be you, doggone it?
If you watched the Jeff Walker masterclass sessions over the past few days, you saw what I meant: this is the world's expert on launching products or services.
Jeff even talked about launching when you don't know what product
or service you could offer (in other words, he has a path for all you newbies, too).
Well, this is where the rubber meets the road.
After this, Jeff closes up shop for a year.
