I'm writing to you from the air, as I make my way to Phoenix for the Mises Institute's 40th anniversary supporters summit event. I'm tomorrow's lunch speaker.

The Mises Institute has been my intellectual home since 1993, when I first attended one of its programs as an undergraduate.

The dinner tomorrow night is black tie optional, so the old man here packed his tuxedo. Why not?

If you'll be there with me, I'm very much looking forward to meeting you.

Tomorrow the online event I held with Matt McWilliams, affiliate manager to the stars, will be taken down. I hope you'll carve out a little time to watch it, because Matt gives about the best big-picture overview of affiliate marketing you could ask for, coupled with my own insights and advice inserted randomly throughout.

At the very least, if you're on this list you're like me: you absorb stuff like this compulsively, always wanting to learn more.

It's all about how to have a business -- starting today, if you want -- even without anything to sell (which I would say includes most of us).
