Here's how I used to be:

I'd buy a book at Barnes & Noble called Teach Yourself Italian. How exciting! I was going to teach myself Italian!

After a week, it was something else.

Learn card magic in 30 days!

Well, I'd love to learn card magic. Let me do that.

Five days later, I was going to learn French cooking.

And I never did any of it.

I would hit some snag, or get discouraged, or something else would grab my attention, and I would never complete anything.

Or maybe I would get really close, but I'd have some problem I didn't know how to get help with, and so again, failure.

I have invented the solution. But it's open for an extremely brief time, and then it closes up again.

Time to tell yourself: enough is enough.
