I'm on my way back to the continental U.S. from a week in St. John, the least populous but most beautiful of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Virgin Islands were the maskiest place we visited over the past few years. It was such a pleasure to see people's faces and have normal human interaction once again.

Instead of taxis this time the old man here actually rented a car and managed to drive without incident on the left side of the road, making extremely sharp turns and steep ascents in navigating around the island.

My vacation coming to an end may bring a tear to my eye, but it won't affect you too much, dear reader.
