I was pretty darn excited in early 2020.
A band I very much like was coming to Orlando, and I had my VIP meet-and-greet tickets in hand.
April 15th was going to be a
good day for a change.
Well, I'm pretty sure you know what happened. I of course never saw that show.
The band was able to play a single show on the entire tour before it was all shut down.
The shutdown was financially devastating to a small and obscure act like this one. They would be unable to make up the huge expenses they have to lay out at the beginning of every tour.
They made a desperate appeal to their fan base: this is almost certainly the end of our band,
they said.
But the fans got together and raised a pile of dough -- more than the band needed -- and disaster did not strike after all.
Yours truly contributed to that fund.
Tonight, three years later, I'm in Dallas with my VIP meet-and-greet tickets in hand, ready to give this another go.
Moral of the story: it's good to have a bunch of people who are happy to give you dough.
This month we're studying businesses with recurring income, and that's what it's all about. Not just once but over and over again.
There is, dear reader, at least a 20% chance I'm right about this, and that I'm urging you to listen to these once-a-year sessions with Stu McLaren because they will help make you
bulletproof.
Go ahead and check out the material so far, and try to attend live the final session tomorrow. Surely you're a little curious.
If having a nice little side business, which can one day be full time, that generates recurring
revenue every month sounds appealing, but you don't think you can make it work, later this week I'm going to lay out the details of exactly how I plan to help you personally.
I want an army of Woods success stories.
