Before launching my School of Life program last year, I sought the input of Ken McCarthy, who is considered the godfather of Internet marketing.
He liked the idea. But then he told me: You're not going to want to hear this, but to launch this successfully you're going to need to write a
book.
He was right. I didn't want to hear that.
He said the momentum from the book would lead directly into the success of the membership.
And the thing is, I'm sure he was right.
I was simply too eager to laiunch the thing to pause it until I had a book written.
But the fact is, a book can be an important funnel of clients into your
business. Not to mention, many people have for some reason a superstitious awe of authors, and writing a book makes you seem like a celebrity and an expert they should listen to.
I personally am planning to release my second self-published book (my 13th overall) later this year.
If you've been thinking about writing and/or publishing a book, too, let's make 2023 the year it gets done.
A book is something you can sell online, so it's a natural for this particular email list, but as I've said, it can also give a boost to your business, which makes it even more natural.
Chandlet Bolt is the author of a book called Published, which is very helpful for people looking to self-publish. I recommend signing up to hear him explain how it all works, because I'm sure you'll get a lot out of it:
