This week I'm staying in a very nice room at a very nice hotel.
And we ordered a very nice breakfast from room service.
When it arrived, the employee put on a mask
before entering our room. She then handed me a pen to sign for the meal. The pen was inside plastic wrap that she had pulled up just enough for me to be able to write with it. So it was a brand new pen, being given to me in this condition for the obvious purpose of allegedly protecting me from viruses.
So three years into this, we're still pretending that I can get
sick if I touch the wrong pen.
I've been resisting the idea of writing a new book, which I have not done for nine years, but the persistence of inanities like this has pushed me over the edge.
It's going to deal with the COVID response,
but as I explained to my libertarian newsletter list, it will be different from the others in important ways.
I'm going to self-publish it. It will be my 13th book and my second that I've published myself.
I think it will help me in
various ways, while it also does some good in the world of public opinion.
And I think it will also contribute to my brand, so to speak, so it will have business advantages as well.
A book is an excellent thing to sell online, because
while it can bring in a little dough, it also gives you credibility, and furthermore it can contribute to your business by drawing in clients (and also by making you appear to be an authority).
So I strongly recommend that you take up Chandler Bolt on his kind offer to send a free copy of his very useful book Published to any of my readers who request it.
Among other things, it walks you through the self-publishing process, and reading it sure beats trying to figure all this out on your own.
