Is it about national divorce, or anarcho-capitalism, or maybe something to do with Hans Hoppe?
Nope.
It's this:
I use popups, and refuse to apologize.
I use them because they work.
I know, dear reader. You hate them. I know.
But remember what Ludwig von Mises said about questionnaires. He said, in effect, I don't care what people tell me on a questionnaire. I care what they DO when they're ACTUALLY IN the situation being described.
And although people say they hate them, they respond to them.
Otherwise no one would use them.
On my main website I use what's called an exit popup. When you start to move your cursor in way that indicates you're about to leave the site, that triggers the popup. Before you leave, I want one last chance to get your email address (and give you a gift in return).
You can also use an exit popup on a sales page if someone is about to leave without buying -- a discount code can suddenly pop up, and maybe save the sale.
Some people use a timed popup, having the popup appear, say, 30 seconds after the person arrives. But that's not long enough for them to know
yet whether you're worth following. I like the exit-intent variety.
I am currently spending over $500 per year on a service that lets me generate these. ONLY TODAY did I realize that this service is included in what I'm already paying for Leadpages.
As I said this morning, if you're going to be in business online chances are you'll need a bunch of little sites -- for list building, to advertise online and offline events, to run a sweepstakes, to sell a product, you name it. And you do not want to spend $500 on each of them.
I have over 100 such sites, and I made them all -- extremely
easily -- just using the templates at Leadpages. And with one click, it's published and ready for visitors.
You joined this mailing list through just such a site.
If you were to tell me I had to start all over again and I could have
only two tools, I could build an entire business from scratch, no problem, with just Leadpages and Aweber (for email).
Pick up Leadpages (a tool I couldn't possibly live without) and you'll save yourself a pile of dough and many, many agonizing hours. Do it by tomorrow night and I'll make your learning curve close to zero as I send you my bonus video walking you
step by step as I make a simple one-page site before your eyes.
Just forward your receipt to bonuses@tomwoods.com.
