It took me years to figure out this simple thing.
We upload an audio-only version of the Tom Woods Show (it's just a still shot plus audio) to YouTube. Creating it may be easy, but it's still time-consuming drudgery.
One day we realized that we had to push only one button and Libsyn (which I use to host the episodes) would generate this YouTube for us automatically.
That one small automation freed up over 100 hours for us that year.
Well, in 2023 the tools for saving you time and energy -- which nobody has in superabundance -- can do much more for you than that.
By now you're surely familiar with ChatGPT. You may even have played around with it, probably concluding that it's an impressive novelty and nothing more.
But if you do any kind of writing for work -- whether sales pitches, newsletter content, blog posts, or hundreds of other possibilities -- it can make your life vastly easier and less hectic. It is not a substitute for you, obviously. But like anything else it's a tool, and one that can help you get much more done in less time.
The tricky thing is getting it to sound like you rather than a soulless robot.
Amy Yamada is the expert on this, and she's taught tens of thousands of happy content creators around the world how to do precisely that.
She'll be doing a special session for my readers specifically, so if like all normal people you prefer to conserve your time and energy instead of constantly running around like a chicken with its head cut off, I hope you'll join us for it:
