I know they mean well.
These are good and considerate people.
But I wince when someone says to me, "I know you're really busy, but...."
Who says I'm "really busy," so busy that I can't take a minute out of my day to do some simple thing?
I don't like that image of myself -- a guy who bites off more than he can chew, who's constantly running around like a madman, and barely holding things together.
But I know why people assume I'm busy: I get a lot done.
I'm not trying to brag, but it's a fact. I write two different newsletters virtually every weekday, to two separate lists on two different topics (and sometimes I write to members of my various programs). I constantly pump out episodes of the
Tom Woods Show, all of which require preparation. I publish eBooks. I'll be releasing my 13th print book later this year. I hold webinars for people who subscribe to my various sites. And so on.
Yet I'm not really that busy.
Why
not?
Answer: I'm fast.
I've been doing this so long that I can churn it out rapidly without sacrificing quality.
Now if you're just getting started in creating content of any kind, you won't be as efficient as I am. That's to be expected. I didn't used to be as fast and efficient as I am today.
Therefore:
Use tools
available to you to help you produce more, faster.
Eventually you may no longer need or want the tools. But there's no good reason to shoot yourself in the foot by not using them now.
ChatGPT is such a tool. It can get you started on whatever the topic is. It can situate you in the issue. If you haven't used it yet (and an
idiot can use it), it is a true marvel.
It is not a substitute for you. But -- like every tool that has ever existed -- it can amplify your efforts in ways that will make your life vastly easier and more productive.
This Thursday Amy
Yamada, who's an expert on all this, will show you how to train ChatGPT to sound like you, so working in tandem you can create all the written content you need -- and still be able to see your family.
Here's how to reserve your spot (costs nothing):
