I'll be honest: for me turning 50 last year was awful.
I was quite in the dumps about it, and about the sheer relentlessness of time.
Well, last year I also had Larry
Lepard, an outstanding financial expert, both as a guest on my podcast and as a presenter for my School of Life.
Larry is also in his 50s, and somehow it came up (I think off the air) how bummed I was to be 50.
Larry was having none of
it. Your 50s will be great, he said. But be sure to read a book called Younger Next Year. Do what it says, and you'll be in great shape.
So I did.
A good chunk of what it says involves exercise, so I've increased my gym-going
frequency (I think my personal trainer sometimes reads these emails, so hello!).
I feel better about everything now that I've made (and followed through on) that decision.
It's good for you to exert yourself in the gym, but if you can
avoid doing it in your business, you should.
