In a recent episode of the Tom Woods Show, one of my guests spoke of the "unintended consequences" of the Great Society programs.
Maybe I'm getting cynical as I advance in age, but I can only be told so many times about "unintended consequences" that occur every single time a policy is implemented
before I conclude that maybe they weren't really unintended after all.
Maybe the political class likes it when people become dependent on them. Maybe that's even the point.
Likewise:
What are students in the government's schools being taught about business, finding a niche, selling, driving Web traffic, marketing, promotion, etc.?
And forget about teaching about passive income. Almost no young person graduates even knowing that such a thing
exists.
Sure, they learn that molten rock is called magma, but nobody bothers to teach them a thing about how to make an independent living.
It's almost as if the system wants their lives precarious and difficult.
I'll grant you, it could also be plain old stupidity. You can never rule that out.
Either way, students leave thirteen years of formal education without the first clue as to how to build a business, a side hustle, anything.
You will not have the same problem, because Professor Woods's class will soon be in session:
