I've traveled to 49 of
the 50 American states, and next year I'll finally get to Oregon and complete the 50.
Realizing that, I then thought: maybe I should also visit all the U.S. territories! After all, I've already been to St. Thomas and St. John, and I'll be in St. Croix in about five weeks, so I've made a dent in those, too.
Then I realized how unbelievably inconvenient it is to travel to American Samoa, and I decided to heck with it.
The Northern Mariana Islands were also on my list, since they, too, are among America's territories. But again: try getting there from Florida. You're talking two stops,
and 26 hours of travel time.
At any rate, last night in my School of Life program we had a plenary presentation by copywriter William Davis, who to my astonishment lives in the Northern Mariana Islands!
Much more amazing is
this:
As a copywriter, it's William's job to write words that sell. That includes sales pages, ads, emails, things like that.
He does that for a living. You don't have to do it for a living, although it's an absolutely fantastic
occupation that you should not rule out at all.
But if you have a business or you're building a business and you'd rather not pay somebody $5,000, $10,000 or even $100,000 to write your sales copy or your ads for you, it's a good skill to pick up.
Well, every week William leads a group inside the School of Life in which anyone who's interested learns copywriting together.
That benefit alone -- which we don't even mention in our promotional material because the ways in which we help normal people prosper in a hostile world are so numerous we can't list them all -- justifies the
entire School of Life membership, but it's approximately 1% of what we offer.
(If you're already a member and you'd like to attend one of these copywriting meetings but you're unsure of how to find it, reply to this email and I'll show you. The more the merrier!)
We're not writing letters to the editor, we're not complaining, we're not debating on Twitter. We're doing something. Lots of somethings. All of which help us become healthy, wealthy, and wise, under a regime that wants us sickly, poor, and stupid.
Get in here with us and let's go:
