As you probably know, every Black Friday weekend I have a big special on my Liberty Classroom membership, which has been going strong for 11 years now.

This year I did something different, and measured the results.

Around eight years ago I hired a professional copywriter to write the sales page for that site. I was a beginner and he was an expert, so I figured that was the way to go.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I regret nothing. The division of labor is real. I can't know or learn everything.

After a while, though, as someone who writes for a living, I found for some reason that it began to stick in my craw that I had a website whose sales language was written in my name by someone else.

Not to mention, I didn't think it really sounded like me. And then the kicker: no matter how expert a copywriter someone is, nobody knows your market the way you do.

So this year I decided: I'm going to write my own version of the sales page, and we'll run a test. Half the traffic will be sent to the copywriter's version, and half will be sent to mine.

Well, wouldn't you know: mine converted 33 percent better.

That's massive: with the same amount of traffic coming in, I generated 33 percent more sales than I would have otherwise.

Imagine making one change and having it make that kind of difference. Many business owners would give one of their limbs just to see a 10 percent difference.

Here's the kicker: do I have a college degree in this? Did I learn it sitting in a classroom?

No.

I learned it by being exposed to people who were good at it, by surrounding myself with high-quality people. And having the humility to say: I don't know everything, and I'm ready to learn what others have to teach me.

Or you can use it to improve your own ads and sales copy so you can save the $5000 or $10,000 or $100,000 that a professional copywriter will cost you.

The world's regimes suck and are trying their best to make our lives worse. But together we can make our lives better -- much, much better (and not just financially, but that's a big piece). We'll own a ton of property and be very happy, contra Klaus Schwab.
