I'm lying down on a gurney on a stage with 2500
people watching.
It's my 2000th Tom Woods Show episode live event. Magician Doc Dixon is about to saw me in half.
He pauses and reflects. Sawing a person in half would appear to be an act of aggression. He wonders if perhaps a wise man can advise him in this situation.
And just as he begins to wonder, who comes on
the giant video screens but...Ron Paul.
Dr. Paul tells attendees: "Sawing someone in half is definitely a violation of the Nonaggression Principle. But I make an exception if it's Tom Woods. Start sawing!"
Yes, this really happened. You can find it on YouTube.
Well, the great Doc Dixon is coming back: this time to
entertain us at my Practical Liberty Un-Conference this June.
Two years ago Dave Smith entertained us with comedy, and last year it was Doc. He's back this year with a whole new show, and as those of you who were with us last year will recall: he's hilarious, and really, really good. Hence how he was able to fool Penn & Teller on their television show.
Instead of sitting down listening to lectures, we're going to -- brace
yourself for this novelty, now -- talk to each other.
We'll break up into smaller rooms according to our own interests, and we'll talk practical things: building parallel institutions, creating and growing businesses, improving our personal habits (how to be more productive, procrastinate less, you name it).
No abstractions. Just practical conversations about thriving even
under a hostile regime.
The event is free to my School of Life members, and inexpensive for everyone else. In fact, with your ticket you can bring a +1 along for free.
Our last two conferences have been absolute blasts, and this one will be no different.
Our room block at the hotel filled up early last year, so sign up while you're thinking about it, and let's put on not just another predictable conference, but something that can change the life of everyone who attends:
