I've had a handful of people say: "Woods is a
statist. He pays taxes."
Some of these people have elaborate constitutional theories as to why the federal income tax is illegitimate. Others have a philosophical opposition to taxation in general (as do I).
Here's the thing: I have five daughters who need their father to be somewhere other than prison.
And yes, regardless of your constitutional theory, you're going to
prison if you don't pay.
Here is an exception: if you make $10K per year, then yes, the powers that be probably won't care much if you pay or not. But I would not extrapolate from those cases to all taxpayers.
Having said all this, I note that next week inside my School of Life a gentleman who's worked on over 50,000 tax returns will be speaking specifically to the business
owners in our ranks as to how to save at least $18K on your taxes.
The session will take place Tuesday night so as not to interfere with our various accountability-group meetings on other nights of the week.
