When an Icelandic restaurant offers you the surf
and turf, be aware that (as it was last night) it could be horse and whale.
All the same, we've once again had some wonderful cuisine on this particular trip to Iceland, which gives those bad-cuisine European countries (you know who you are) no excuse: if this freezing country of fewer than 400,000 people can prepare very good food, then those other countries (okay, England) can, too.
At any rate, despite our extensive travels, there's no place like home, and our all-time favorite restaurant remains Chatham's Place, right in Orlando, Florida.
My wife and I are proselytizers for this restaurant. We've brought Scott Horton, Gene Epstein (and wife Hisako), the Tenth Amendment Center's Mike Maharrey (and wife Cynthia), and magician Doc Dixon, for starters, to Chatham's when they've been in
town.
So when my mastermind meets in Orlando for a couple of days next month, you'd better believe they're all getting a dinner at Chatham's (where the old man here is treated like royalty).
The conversations at that table will be memorable, to say the least.
It's nice to do well in your business, but some of us are
rather more ambitious than that, and long for that proverbial next level. But we often need help to get there.
My mastermind is that help.
We're all great friends, we share our knowledge, we give everyone specific guidance -- not platitudes like "the early bird gets the worm" -- to get them to the next level of success.
Between in-person meetings we have a private chat app where we keep in touch, and not long ago one of our new members started a discussion in there with a seasoned member. Before long the latter declared, "Oh my friend...I think we've just unlocked a million dollars in your business."
Yeah, I'd say this is a good group to belong to.
Rather than forever wonder what might have been, why not get in this room with us?
I finally have a full-blown website for it, too, and she's a beauty.
A new world awaits you; you need but the boldness to take the first step:
