Imagine writing a book and charging 600 smackers
or more for it.
My friend Ben Settle has done that multiple times.
Old Tom would have said, "WTF? Who would pay that much for a book?"
New Tom says, "If this book will add $50K to my bottom line, $600 is trivial." (I've actually bought a $400 book from Ben.)
I told people at my Orlando conference last year that I recently came within inches of joining Russell Brunson's $50K mastermind. (He has a $250K mastermind, too, by the way, but even if I were interested, I don't qualify.)
Old Tom would have thought, "Why would I join something so expensive?"
New Tom thinks, "This will open doors for me and give me ideas that will make
the $50K look like nothing."
In 2021 I joined a $5000 business education program, and then got to talk to one of the greatest business coaches of all time for two hours for an extra $13,500.
I must be out of my mind, right? Who would pay that?
But what if what that man told me generated seven figures?
And in that case, who cares about the $18,500?
Well, Woods isn't demanding anything like that from you.
I'm telling you instead about a "free plus shipping" book by John Thornhill, the automobile assembly-line worker who told them to take his job and shove it, and went on to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of
online business.
He could charge a bundle for this short book if he wanted to, because it's packed with actionable steps. It's not "have the right attitude" or "drink lots of water" or "believe in yourself" or whatever. It's "here's what works, and here is exactly how to do it, and if this didn't work I'd still be at the same mind-numbingly repetitive job that nearly sucked away my will to live."
It's a mere $9.95, and if you really read and apply it, it can generate returns orders of magnitude higher for you.
Someday perhaps you'll take out a mortgage on your house and buy a Ben Settle book. For now, I highly recommend John's:
