I have nothing strictly against all you techie people, but:
I much prefer to hold a physical book than to read one on an e-reader.
I know I'm not alone in this.
I like the feel of the book, I like observing my progress (showing me on a screen the percentage I've read isn't the same), I
like writing notes in my own handwriting, and frankly, I like getting my eyes off a screen for a change!
(Yes, I realize the irony of Mr. eBook here, who has published over a dozen exclusively electronic books, speaking this way, but life is full of contradictions.)
I'm also happy to get the occasional magazine in the mail. A physical magazine with articles (I'm enjoying
Chronicles these days, but there are others I also like very much).
Well, apparently ol' John Thornhill sees things the way I do, since he's just released his book showing his path from regular guy in an automobile plant to a crushingly dominant marketer who often has six-figure months. And it's a regular print book.
(I think he may give you a digital option at some point, but the main offer is a real live book.)
