In about three hours my Practical Liberty Un-conference kicks off in Orlando, so I am in a bit of haste.
So, quickly:
I often hear people say, "If X works, why doesn't everyone do it?"
Many answers to this.
(1) Most people are lazy.
(2) Most people stay within their comfort zone.
(3) Most people have no idea X even exists.
It's like asking (as Chicago School economists actually did ask), "If there's really a housing bubble, why haven't people figured it out and corrected for it?"
Answer: lots of people never do figure it out -- until it ruins them.
So forget about what other people are doing. As Professor John Rao once said: most people throughout history are essentially playing video games all day.
