Ol' Woods is a bit zonked, because in addition to holding the latest meeting of my mastermind last week I also held an "un-conference," which means: instead of sitting through a bunch of lectures, attendees themselves lead discussions on whatever topic they choose, and people decide which room's topic sounds most interesting.
It helps
that my School of Life community, at whom the conference was mainly directed, is filled with people knowledgeable in a very wide range of areas when it comes to prospering in a hostile world.
The point of the conference was that all the topics would be practical. They're about what to do in the here and now to create more freedom for ourselves.
We already have plenty
of conferences where we talk about the theory of this or the theory of that or how libertarian principles would be applied in outer space or whether cannibalism could be acceptable.
If there's one thing my friends know about me, it's where I stand on cannibalism: against.
A (very) small sampling of the topics from last weekend's event:
"Create Your Own 'Jason Bourne'
Escape Plan"
"Make Your Money, and Keep It" (taxes)
"Two Martial Arts Moves You Must Know"
"Anarcho-Capitalist Models for Local Food Systems"
"Online Security You Didn't Know You Needed to Know"
"Making Kids Savvy"
"Better Math for Homeschoolers"
"Recurring Revenue from Memberships or
Courses"
"Why You Should Keep Your Own Health Records and How to Start"
"Pivoting My Business: How the Tom Woods School of Life Fixed My Broken Company"
We enjoyed good food and entertainment, too, with the great Doc Dixon (the magician who sawed me in half at my 2000th episode event in 2021) closing out the event with an amazing show for us. (Naturally my members
paid $0 to attend, because it's the greatest membership in the world and it's full of goodies and bonuses.)
But this kind of emphasis on the practical is what these very emails are about as well: practical things people are doing to put themselves in a better financial position.
Along those lines, I hope you've been enjoying the videos I started showing you
last week. Today's, linked below, is especially helpful, and involves an approach that the Monster Beverage Corporation used to great effect, and which all of us could stand to learn from.
"If X works, why doesn't everyone do it" has many answers, but the number-one answer is: almost nobody knows about X in the first place, and they're not even making an effort to find it.
But here, ladies and gentlemen, is X:
