Sometimes I can't remember what I've written
where, but I'm fairly sure I mentioned here that I've been reading, and indeed have finished, a book called 10X Is Easier Than 2X.
It's not primarily a book about technology. It's a book about figuring out what you really ought to be doing and being prepared to jettison the rest. It's about having the courage to embrace new ideas and activities and give up older ones that do not serve you as well.
10X is about approaching your work and life on a whole new level, while 2X is about working much harder at exactly what you're already doing.
I'm now looking for and finding ways to get to the next 10X all the time. And in doing so I've looked into my past for times when I've made that jump.
Getting out of academia was one.
Launching my own online learning platform was one.
Learning about and implementing email marketing was one.
And although a mindset shift and an openness to new ideas was a major part of all of that, technology was never far behind. (Without it, I couldn't have left academia as easily, or created Liberty
Classroom, or done email marketing.)
Well, there's an innovation of equal significance that has only just started to hit in the world of online business.
It's a 10X kind of innovation. You should see it for yourself.
I did not even know this existed, you'll say. Well, neither does 99.99% of mankind.
That's exactly where you want to be.
