My wife and I
have traveled quite a bit, and yet our favorite restaurant in all the world is essentially right in our backyard: Chatham's Place in Orlando.
The food, the service, the ambience -- we love it.
Over the past five years we've brought -- and treated -- numerous friends to dinner at Chatham's. Can't tell you all of them, because then it wouldn't be a secret, elite club, but such
dinner guests include Gene Epstein, Scott Horton, and Doc Dixon -- names familiar to Tom Woods Show listeners, and good friends of ours as well.
Well, there's one more Chatham's dinner I want to mention: the meal we enjoyed with Omar and Melinda Martin, known popularly as the Internet marketing power couple.
Ol' Woods had a little too much to drink that night, my friends, but
what a memorable time with people who have likewise become good friends.
Omar is as legit as they get, a super hard worker dedicated to his customers, and a former NYC paramedic at the time of 9/11.
About three months ago I was catching up with Omar on the phone, telling him about my new 16-page monthly print newsletters (one for SupportingListeners.com and a completely
different one for TomSchoolOfLife.com) and feeling pretty proud of myself.
It turns out that Omar was just putting the finishing touches on something of his own -- which, dear reader, turns out to be rather more impressive than my newsletters, awesome though they are.
Well, it opened its doors last month, and since that time he's been paying out $566 commissions to regular
people like they're candy.
