This week the heroic Ron Paul turned 89.
I consider him a model of fearlessness. In public life he said what he wanted to say and did what he wanted to do, consequences be damned.
A lot of people swear they'd do the same in his shoes, but the temptations to betray what you believe in are more powerful than you can imagine, and standing up against the entire world can be frankly terrifying.
And as I've been saying, fear can be crippling and paralyzing.
