One thing you can confidently rely on: teachers' unions and the usual opinion molders complaining that education hasn't been "fully funded."

Dear reader, I have no idea what they could possibly mean. You would be shocked if I told you how much is spent to put a single child through the government's K-12 system.

I'm sure it will come as no surprise that New York is the worst offender.

Ready for the dollar amount to educate a single student there?

And yet when I speak to these students, they appear to know nothing at all. If they do "know" something it's nearly always a platitude that a subject matter expert could refute in ten seconds.

If they're not learning the usual subjects, you can be certain that they are not learning basic things like how to market themselves, how to sell things, even what niche they should occupy -- really any of the basic things a self-supporting person would want to know.

They certainly do know which words are insensitive, which causes are in fashion, how many genders there are, etc. That much they do learn.

I think students age 14 and up -- along with their parents, who need to learn this stuff every bit as much as their kids do -- should join me for our live niche selection workshop early next week.

This is the single most important ingredient that will determine your success or failure in online business.

I originally had -- and still do have -- adults in mind as the primary audience for this, but the advantage a young person will derive from at least thinking about this kind of question cannot be overstated.
