I mean, I'd be happy if I found out you had a nice 4th, but I think you and I have had enough well wishes in our inboxes for one day.

Having talked on my political email list about the ideas behind the original 4th, let's talk about another kind of independence.

Henry Bingaman, a member of my Elite Mastermind, puts it like this: we want to become successful enough that we can ride out whatever politics throws at us.

Now that's independence.

How do we do that?

By putting our heads together. That synergy yields great things.

That's done more for me than all the reading and study and training I've done for the past 15 years.

For example, three years ago I got to speak to one of the all-time business greats for two hours. Those two hours alone cost six times more than what I myself charge for my entire six-month Junior Mastermind program.

But I look at it like this: I was going to pay for that two-hour conversation whether I had it or not.

If I had the conversation, I'd of course pay for it directly. If I didn't have it, I'd pay for not having it -- in the form of misspent time and energy, aimlessness, lost opportunities, and lucrative ideas that never entered my brain because there was nobody to give them to me.
 

And as I've told you before, just two hours with someone who knew my particular situation and who had a good business brain, changed everything for me.

Now the reason I held that free business Q&A that many of you attended a couple of weeks ago with my business partner Paul Counts was so you could see how large Paul's brain is, and how quickly he thinks of brilliant ideas that might never have occurred to you.

You can have regular access to that brain (and mine, too).

It's easy to drift along, making no changes.
