That's what Dave Loffredo told me last week when I
sat down with him.
Last year Dave joined my goal-setting program.
He describes himself as having hit "rock bottom" just before he did so.
Since then he's lost 60 pounds and taken eight inches off his waist (from a 40 to a 32). And his risk of heart issues plummeted.
"In my mind I've had miracles happen," he says.
Now there are plenty of things Dave did not do: he did not cross his fingers and hope for the best, he did not coast waiting for things to happen to him, and he did not make feckless "New Year's resolutions."
He took a leap of faith and said: I'm going to give the old man's goal-setting program a shot, and see if I really can make 2024 an outstanding
year.
And 2024 wound up being the year things turned around for him.
Now, are you guaranteed to have exactly the same results as Dave? You may very well have no results at all. Maybe you'll join my goal-setting program and not do anything with it. There's no way for me to know.
And your goals might not be fitness
related.
But I can tell you: when you have a system, you are vastly more likely to succeed than if you don't.
