Things change fast in this online world:
In the old days, you could boost your chances in the search engines by keyword stuffing, like this:
Interested in property in Cincinnati, Ohio? If Cincinnati, Ohio, is where you want to live, then you need a great realtor in Cincinnati, Ohio. Cincinnati, Ohio, has many wonderful features....
You get the idea.
People even put keywords all over their home pages in invisible font -- the words would be the same color as the background, so you couldn't see them. But the search engines could.
Thankfully for all of us, the hammer came down on that tactic, and people are much more subtle in their use of keywords these days.
Because of how I make my
living, and particularly because of the people I hang around with, I learn a lot about what works consistently, what used to work but doesn't anymore, and what never worked.
Right now things are moving faster than ever before, and we're seeing changes that make it much easier for beginners to build a digital business fast, even if they think they can't.
And these aren't dumb
tactical changes like "put your keywords all over the place." These are permanent, strategic changes that take a beginner from zero to up and running in half an hour.
It's a wild world out there, and almost nobody knows about it.
