Yesterday I sent my eldest daughter a text
message:
"I can't believe we're 26 days into the new year and only now am I realizing that 2025 is a perfect square."
Her reply:
"Quintessential Tom Woods, this statement. That genuinely never would have occurred to me to notice in seven lifetimes."
That made me laugh.
Well, I can't turn off my nerd brain, and I ain't
sorry.
But especially in this day and age, the nerds are the pioneers, sifting through all the new technology and showing us what the potential is.
There's plenty of overhyped crap when it comes to AI, and of course the state will misuse it (but then it misuses all kinds of helpful innovations, so what else is new), but it would be highly peculiar if it weren't also
monetizable.
But how?
Well, I hope you saw John Thornhill's video demonstration over the weekend. If you did, you now see what I mean.
Our ancestors broke their backs to open businesses and make a decent living. It almost isn't fair what we can do today.
We're still at the stage where most people haven't figured out what's possible, so people like you and me, who are learning it all first, have a substantial advantage.
So watch John's replay while it's still up. He is also a nerd, and one we should thank for his service.
Most of the recording is taken up by the Q&A portion (which I also recommend watching, of
course) that follows the presentation itself, but that means the real meat of the presentation is less than half the length of the video overall. Well worth your investment of time.
What you will see will seem almost too easy. I have exactly the same thought sometimes, given the tools at my disposal.
But I assure you that it's all real, that John is legit and has been around
forever, and that it's worth taking a look at what is possible in 2025.
Rather than sit on the sidelines, as 99 percent of mankind will do, let's run out onto the field and play:
