Everyone hates Ticketmaster, mainly for the
fees.
I have much less dislike for it than most people, in part because unlike most people, I get part of those fees refunded.
Now it so happens that I'm in the middle of three concerts in three days: Glass Animals yesterday, the great Jon Anderson (he's 80 and still sings like an angel) tonight, and Foreigner's Lou Gramm tomorrow (I've got the VIP meet-and-greet,
baby).
And I just noticed that I recently received $37.98 from Ticketmaster.
How is that possible?
Because I use Rakuten, I get cash back on almost everything I buy online (although not through Amazon, which doesn't participate in this program).
Rakuten
belongs to affiliate programs that you and I can't even qualify for. It then shares the affiliate commissions it earns on our purchases with us. Brilliant.
Costs nothing extra to be part of it, of course, and every few months you get a nice check.
Mine will include rebates from many different sources, including that $37.98 from Ticketmaster, $74.27 from Hotels.com, $7.83 from
Vegas.com, $15.96 from Groupon, and plenty more.
I can't exactly retire on it, but this is dough I earn by doing nothing apart from what I am doing already.
Everyone wants to "make money online," but if you're not getting the low-hanging fruit like this, well, that's sad.
Don't be sad.
