At one point I pointed out a feature of the state that we're all aware of, but that I think we may not fully appreciate.

I noted that the Endless Shrimp promotion at Red Lobster had financially devastated the company, and that there was executive turnover after that.

But the assault on society that was the Covid lockdown policy, or the million deaths in the 2003 war in Iraq? No turnover of any kind. No repercussions at all.

Endless shrimp resulted in a bigger shakeup than did a million deaths.

That's the state for you.

You and I, by contrast, have to answer for our poor judgment.
